Freska Cafe has the best burger in town, Sugar Indian cuisine is amazing and they tailor the level or spice. Enough restaurants that I never have to go into Ottawa for a night out. I’m practically across the street from the river so I get to walk on the OVRT (Ottawa Valley Rail Trail) and be at the water within seconds of leaving my home. It’s a peaceful and friendly small town feel, the neighbours will be there for you and respect your privacy. The park across the street is amazing for kids and families with the play structure and basketball court. River walk trail is a short distance, and so is the hiking at St. James woods and dog park. There’s also a spot to put in my kayak down the street so I can walk out to go for a boat ride!
What do you love about your home?
It has a welcoming feeling and so much character without being outdated. The rooms feel larger than new construction homes and have in built in storage. If someone was wanting an authentic century home with modern utilities this is perfect! It has the crown moldings in every room, large plank baseboards, strong foundation, modern central air, tankless hot water on demand, municipal water and sewer, upgraded electrical (2022) and brand new roof (2022).
